"Several sites are clustered around the harbor area off Front Street, between the ferry terminal and Preston's dock. One of the most intriguing pieces in that area is Arden Scott's "Intertidal," installed in the shallows adjacent to the ferry dock. A boat-shaped wood and mesh structure that also resembles a fish trap, it can only be fully appreciated as the tide's cycles alternately reveal and conceal its graceful shape. It emerges periodically like a ghostly wreck, memorializing the many lost ships that once embarked from Greenport harbor."
